Strategic Plan
The Kansas Power Pool Strategic Plan contains eight objectives that support the long-term vision for the Pool. In working to achieve those objectives, four core values and three strategic themes have been identified to guide our progress.

KPP will provide outstanding services and exceed the future requirements, expectations and needs of its member utility customers and communities.

KPP serves each of its community-owned members by providing cost-effective and reliable public power and services through collaboration and innovation.

Objectives
- Continually evaluate cost, capabilities and timing for implementing new resource technologies including all renewable classifications
- Plan for contingencies with local generation resources
- Assist Members in areas of technology, safety and distribution system design and maintenance
- Explore strategic tactics for effectively reducing customer bills, and; develop and execute plan for economic threat mitigation
- Position KPP as a resource and leader in advocacy and training among Members and their constituencies; maintain staffing strategy geared to satisfying Member and constituent needs
- Assist Members in areas of rate design and overal financial health
- Assist Members in establishing strong customer/supplier relationships and in effectively promoting Public Power
- Further position KPP as a champion for Public Power throughout Kansas
