Journeyman Lineman

Duties

Under the authorization of the Public Works Director and supervision of the Utility Supervisor, the City of Mulvane is taking applications for a Journeyman Lineman. The lineman performs skilled work in the construction and maintenance of the city’s electric distribution system.  The lineman is responsible for maintenance of power lines, electrical equipment and transformers, and other duties as deemed necessary.  Work in the maintenance & repair of water distribution will also be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Must have Class A CDL driver’s license.

Possess a Journeyman Lineman Certification

3 to 5 years’ experience as a Lineman

Experience:  Five years of electrical distribution installation and maintenance is required.  Employee is expected to have acquired the necessary information and skills to perform the job within six months of employment.
